There is much talk about dysfunctional families today, especially the resulting behavior of children from such environments.  A dysfunctional family is a family in which conflict, misbehavior and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur continually, leading other members to accommodate such actions.

Scripture reveals that many Bible heroes came from what we now call dysfunctional families

  • No one is raised in the perfect family.
    • Even the best families have issues.
  • Every one has the opportunity to respond to the challenges of life in Faith.
    • We must not let the challenges of life hinder our faith.
  • Principles of Application
    • God is willing and able to change us into His image no matter what our family background.
    • God understands our particular background and wants to help us rise above the negative influences of our lives.
