Chambersburg Bible Church

Let God be Magnified

Pastor Gary Yoder

Pastor Gary Yoder

At Chambersburg Bible Church, we uphold the truth of scripture as the guiding light of our ministry. The Bible says that the “Word of God is quick and powerful… piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit” (Hebrews 4:12Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
). Preaching is one of the primary means by which we hear and understand the message of the Lord. We believe that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17Romans 10:17
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
), and that God places a distinct emphasis upon the “hearing of the Word of God” (Nehemiah 8:3,8Nehemiah 8:3,8
3 And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law. from...: Heb. from the light 8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
). While we will not be able to post every sermon that Pastor preaches on the website for your “hearing,” we will attempt to provide a number of selections that will be of a benefit to you in your spiritual walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. Once we have a sizable collection available on the website, we will attempt to list the primary categories for your ease of browsing. Each sermon includes an excerpt of the Pastor’s outline to provide an overview of the subject message. If you interested in subscribing to a podcast, which will automatically download new sermon audio to your computer and/or media player, you can subscribe to our podcast feed here, or on the sidebar link on most pages.

If there is a sermon that you are interested in that is not currently available via podcast, please contact Pastor via the Contact Page, and we will determine whether or not we can make it available.

This sermon preached by Pastor Gary Yoder focuses on that special announcement, to the Shepherds... Listen & Read Outline →
