Text: 1 Corinthians 4:1-7
Topic: Understanding the truths concerning individual service in the church When a person trusts Christ as Savior, he enters into a relationship with the Creator. The Bible describes this relationship in a variety of ways: John 3 teaches that we are a Child in God’s Family John 10 illustrates that we are Sheep in God’s Flock Ephesians 1 shows that we are Members of Christ’s Body 2 Timothy 2 admonishes us to be a good Soldier of Jesus Christ 2 Corinthians 5:20... Read →

Prayer for the van Reijns

It has been our conviction that when we have enough prayer support, the Lord will give us enough financial support to start our church planting ministry. Now, with close to 1,000 people receiving our prayer letter directly and many others through their church, the Lord is opening the door for our departure. With 95% of our support in place, we are making firm plans to move in October. This will give us time to pack, sell our house, and hold several more meetings to wrap up our deputation ministry. We are excited, but well aware that in faith we are stepping far outside our comfort zone.  As a... Read →

Do You Love God?

Do you love God?  Do you really love God? I am amazed at the number of people who say they love God yet seem to have little or no understanding as to what love for God is.  It is easy to say “I love God,” but love for God is difficult to measure.  Love cannot be measured with a ruler or a yardstick.  You cannot pour love into a measuring cup to find out how much you actually have.  Love in not a commodity that you can carry in a paper sack.  Love for God is an allusive concept! Does that mean that those who say they love God simply must be taken at their word?  Is it possible to determine... Read →

Dr. Bob Taylor recently preached at our Spring Bible Conference and presented 6 sermons from Psalm 23. This focused look at what is perhaps the most well known chapter in the Bible was an encouragement to many as the conference concluded, and Dr. Taylor graciously agreed to having all six sermons posted here on our website to be enjoyed by others. We hope that these sermons are a challenge and uplifting retreat into the Word for you! Lessons from the 23rd Psalm Sunday School, April 11

This month marks a change from Good News Clubs to Good News Camp as we find ourselves finishing up in the schools and turning our focus to preparations for summer.  We praise God for a successful year of school clubs.  Every school in Franklin and Fulton counties now has a Good News Club that meets either during or after school.   We’re so thankful for the volunteers that gave of their time and talents all year to make this possible. Camp will begin on June 14 and we will have twelve weeks again this year.  There will be eight weeks in Waynesboro and one week each in Path Valley, Orrstown, Needmore, and McConnellsburg.  Throughout April and May we will be recruiting and scheduling teachers, junior counselors, helpers, missionaries, nurses, and lifeguards.  If you or someone you know... Read More →

Dear Friends in Christ It is a delight to be able to come your way again via the mail. Please forgive us for the long delay in writing. We bring you a belated new year greetings and thank you so much for your faithfulness in praying for us and supporting us to carry out God’s work in this part of his vineyard—Ghana, West Africa. A Vehicle for the Family: We praise the Lord for providing a new car for our family use. Of course with the Mission’s vehicle still in the garage, this will be used for the ministry as well. We still owe some money to pay it off. We have up to the end of June to settle the balance. Please pray that the Lord will provide this amount. MINISTRY NEWS Our entire family attended two Youth Camps in the month of August in Tema and Cape Coast respectively. Vera and Gideon... Read More →
