It has been quite some time since the Chambersburg Bible Church website was ever updated, modernized, or really even used for publicizing the ministry of our church. In late Summer, the board was discussing ways to improve the visibility of our local ministry in the community, and one of the resolutions was to put together a team to overhaul the church web presence. Some of the goals of the team were to identify requirements for static and dynamic content which would be beneficial for new folks to the area who may be searching for a church, those who may just be looking to attend a church, and even those who have moved away and would like to keep in touch with the ministry in Chambersburg.
So here we are, launching the redesigned CBC Website!
Much has been said about the “Web 2.0″ revolution, with all of the dynamic content, social networking, and everyday convergence of rich media and web content on the Internet. While it is not the goal of the web team to fully implement this construct, we agreed that there is value in using some of these capabilities to better promote the Lord’s work in the Chambersburg area. Our #1 priority in delivering web content related to the ministry of the Bible Church is to glorify God and spread the word of his work in our lives. It is our burden that others may find our website to be not only informative, but encouraging in their spiritual lives, drawing souls closer to Christ for salvation and sanctification.
If you are visiting our site and haven’t been to the church for a visit, we encourage you to stop in on Sunday to join us in worship. Let us know you heard about the ministry on the web!
