Let God be Magnified

I love this time of year because of the changes it brings, and the character trait I love most about our God is the fact that He does not change. Looking back at His holiness, His grace, His mercy, His love, His wrath, His justice, and His promises would not be nearly as valuable if we had to wonder whether or not that’s still who He is today. So look back. But when you do, don’t get stuck longing for the way things used to be back then or wishing you could go back and do something differently. lnstead, get stuck on the fact that everything you find about God in the past is true in the present. Relish in that fact.

Here at lPM, we constantly find ourselves going back to the past for the purpose of seeking God’s wisdom and claiming His promises. Over and over again, He has proven to us that He’s the same God today that He was when He inspired men to record His words. I trust He has proven the same to you. lf not, that’s because you aren’t putting Him to the test. Go ahead. Place all your faith and dependence upon the past character and promises of God, and watch Him show you that He’s the same NOW.
