The Annual Fall Missions Conference is upon us again, and our theme the year is “For the Sake of His Name.” The theme reflects the truth that while there are several legitimate motivations for missions work, our greatest motivation should be that as souls are saved, the name of Jesus Christ is glorified. In Ephesians 1:12Ephesians 1:12
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. trusted: or, hoped
, the apostle Paul says, “That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.”

The New York City Missions Team had a great week of ministry at Grace Baptist Church in Queens. Typically, each morning started out with time in God’s Word, such as Friday’s Tuesday’s topic, “Making Disciples of the Nations.” Each day was filled with time spent handing out church invitations, door hangers, gospel literature, or even coffee with a message from the Bible.  One night, the team had the opportunity to eat at an Uzbekistan Jewish Kosher restaurant and hear some tips on how to reach the Jewish people for Christ. From the streets to the subways, the team was busy helping the Richmond’s get the gospel out in New York City, while also ministering to those in need. Take a look at some photos from the missions trip.

Missions ConferenceThe Annual Fall Missions Conference is upon us again, and our theme this year is “Investing in Eternity.”  Matthew 6:19-20Matthew 6:19-20
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
states, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth…but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven…” We are thrilled to have the opportunity to support missions here in Chambersburg, throughout the United States, and in many countries around the World. Our missions conference theme this year intends to draw our hearts and minds towards our responsibility for kingdom living, investing our time, energy, prayers, and resources in that which pays dividends in eternity!
