Chambersburg Bible Church

The book of 2 Peter puts a distinct emphasis on the knowledge of God. The word “knowledge” occurs in our English translation 13 times alone in this short epistle, and throughout, Peter indicates that the knowledge of God is more than just a mere intellectual understanding of some spiritual truth about God. Rather, Peter teaches that this knowledge of God is one that is life altering. When we come to know God, our lives are radically changed.

Read through this epistle this week and pay close attention to Peter’s references to the knowledge of God and evaluate your own life to determine if that knowledge has impacted your heart and life!

Although we will not be having a Christmas Eve Service this year, we hope that you and your family will join us on Wednesday night for fellowship in the candlelight as we sing the Carols of Christmas, praise our Lord and Savior, and spend some quiet time in Prayer. Immediately following our special service, we will have Christmas Cookies for all!

is a remarkable passage of scripture dealing with the believer giving his difficulties and burdens over to the Lord while no longer relying on self and man to carry those burdens. Jesus has promised to carry our burdens and help us live victorious, sanctified lives, and we should rely on Him for all of our daily concerns.

The Lord is always available to the child of God…
